Dr. Ralph L. Berk, DDS, FAAPD

Dr. Berk is a 1976 graduate from Columbia University's School of Dental and Oral Surgery. He continued his studies at Columbia where he completed his specialist training in pediatric dentistry. He went on to become board certified, which is the highest level of achievement in pediatric dentistry. Although Dr. Berk no longer practices clinical dentistry, he, along with his partner Dr. Hermann, own and operate the beautiful brand new state of the art facility. Dr. Berk now devotes his time to mentoring the associate dentists and working with the entire dental team to create the best health care experience possible for their patients.

Dorit G. Hermann, DMD

Dr. Hermann graduated in 1993 from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. She completed her pediatric studies two years later at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, where she also undertook a one-year fellowship with special needs children.

Dr. Hermann says that one of the most satisfying parts of her day is the chance to relieve the anxiety of her patients as well as their parents. "We change lives here and make good patients for life."

Dr. Hermann is active in the community, takes continuing education courses to stay on the leading edge of dentistry, and when not at the office, she enjoys music, reading, fitness and being a mommy.

Anne Chaly, DDS, FAAPD

Dr. Anne Chaly graduated from Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery in 2005. She also completed her Pediatric Dentistry Residency at Columbia University. She did a Special Needs Fellowship at Helen Hayes Hospital in Haverstraw and went on to become board certified.

When not providing wonderful care for your children, Dr. Chaly enjoys playing tennis, running, and spending time with family and friends.

Michael Neiman, DDS

Dr. Michael Neiman is a graduate of New York University College of Dentistry. After completing a general practice residency at Woodhull Hospital and working for several years in private practice, Dr. Neiman realized that he enjoyed the dentistry but working with children was his true passion.

He left his position to enter and complete the Pediatric Dentistry Program at Maimonides Medical Center. He is happy to join the Rockland Pediatric Dental Team.

In Dr. Neiman's free time, he loves to be with his own four children. He also enjoys going to the movies, the gym and sporting events. He enjoys all sports, whether it's playing or watching.

Eleni Michailidis, DDS, MS, MPH

Dr. Eleni Michailidis was born and raised in New York City. After graduating Barnard College and spending a short amount of time on Wall Street, she returned to the sciences. Following infectious disease research at NYU's School of Medicine, Dr. Michailidis went on to obtain a Masters in Public Health at Columbia University. She continued her passion for health care and received her DDS from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. Upon completion of her dental degree she continued on to complete a 3 year residency training in Orthodontics at Columbia. When she is not working on smiles, Dr. Michailidis enjoys dancing, kick boxing and spending time with her family.

George Pliakas, DDS, MS, Diplomate American Board of Orthodontics

Born and raised in New York City, Dr. George Pliakas attended the Bronx High School of Science. He earned his Bachelor's Degree with a major in biology from Harvard University and a Master of Science degree, also in biology, from Tufts University. Dr. Pliakas then returned to New York for dental school and his orthodontics training, both at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, where he earned the degrees of Doctor of Dental Surgery and Master of Science in Orthodontics. Dr. Pliakas is a board certified orthodontist. Dr. Pliakas enjoys teaching and has returned to Columbia as an Assistant Instructor in Clinical Dental Medicine. In his free time, he explores all that New York has to offer- its parks, museums, and fine restaurants. He is a supporter of all New York sports teams. He is also an avid traveler and fan of international soccer.
