In the late 1960s, Drs. Label and Epstein founded Rockland Pediatric Dental. In the 1970s, under later ownership by Drs. Frank Valentine and Ralph Berk, the name was changed to Rockland Dental Associates and several locations were opened in the New York and New Jersey areas (they have since been sold). In 2005, Dr. Dorit Hermann became partners with Dr. Berk and the practice was renamed Rockland Pediatric Dental and Orthodontics. In 2012, Dr. Anne Chaly joined the practice and she and Dr. Hermann have been business partners since.
Orthodontics was originally provided at the dental practice since 1982 by trained pediatric dentists. Our specially trained orthodontists have been providing children with the highest level of orthodontic care possible since 2007. And, just a few years later, we welcomed parents into our orthodontic services.
In 2014, general dental care was established and is offered to new patients, parents of existing patients, as well as a natural progression for our teen patients as they matured away from their pediatric dentist.
